Is there a difference between PAD for Canadian users and ACH for U.S. users?
No. The setup process is the same. While the authorization document differs (ACH authorization for U.S. users versus PAD authorization in Canada), the steps in Plooto to set up and manage pre‑authorized debits are the same.
How do I know if I have a Customer Success Manager (CSM)?
If you are part of an accounting or bookkeeping firm, you will have a dedicated Customer Success Manager who will reach out to you directly. If you are a business with an in‑house team and need assistance, our support team can help connect you with the right resources.
How long does it take for funds to reach my bank after a customer pays?
Bank transfers: Typically 3–5 business days after the payer completes the request. Most payments settle within three business days, though credit unions may require an additional day. Credit card payments: Typically 2–3 business days after the payment is completed.
Can I limit credit card payments on Accounts Receivable to specific customers?
Yes. When enabling credit card payments for Accounts Receivable, you can control this on a per-payment request basis. Before sending a request, you can choose whether or not to allow credit card payments on the summary screen. If you only want certain customers to have access to this option, we recommend creating separate payment requests for those customers and enabling credit card acceptance only for those requests. At this time, settings do not persist at the individual customer level, but this is an area the team is actively reviewing for future enhancements.
Can I customize the percentage of the credit card fee shared with my customer?
Not at this time. Our team is actively exploring options to allow greater flexibility in how credit card surcharge fees are split, and we will share updates as this evolves.
What is the fee for paying vendors by credit card?
The fee is 2.9% of the transaction amount. Many customers choose this option to extend cash flow, earn credit card rewards, and pay vendors who do not accept cards directly.
